First human trial of Boston Scientific's ablation device closes

Boston Scientific has concluded the first human study involving its IntellaTip MiFi XP system, an ablation catheter designed to treat patients with heart arrhythmia. The device could be the first among a series of ablation catheters that the company intends to launch in the next few years. Boston Scientific is investing in electrophysiology as a "key growth area."
