Going with glass helps packagers go green

Many packaging manufacturers are making an effort to reduce their carbon footprints, including those who choose glass packages for their eco-friendly characteristics. "Glass is, by its nature, an environmentally friendly material. It is inert and can be easily recycled. It does not contaminate the environment with degradation," said Richard Engel, executive vice president of specialty glass decorator Decotech.
