Lawmakers seek more funds for updated school kitchens

Two federal lawmakers are sponsoring the School Food Modernization Act -- a bill they also backed during the past legislative session. Under the bill, additional funds would be secured to provide loans and grants to schools to update their kitchens and buy new equipment -- needed, in part, to meet new federal meal standards.
