The Western New York Economic Development Council last week approved a plan to build a workforce training center in Buffalo, N.Y., that is expected to cost at least $10 million to build. About 17,000 manufacturing jobs are expected to become available in the region by 2020 as many workers retire. "We have a shortage of skilled manufacturing workers in Western New York," said Chris Sansone, president of the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance.
Plans advance to build $10M training center in Buffalo, N.Y.
