S.C. congressional race goes down to the wire

A vote in South Carolina's 1st District today will likely be the culmination of a heated battle between former Republican Gov. Mark Sanford and Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch. Polls show the candidates neck and neck, and experts say that some Republicans wouldn't shed many tears if Sanford loses. "There are certain Republicans who are interested in seeing an 18-month Democratic term, in order that someone more in line with the Republican Party in South Carolina can be the next nominee," GOP strategist Dave Wilson said.
