TSA seeks to purchase boarding pass scanners

The Transportation Security Administration issued a request for proposals on boarding pass scanners. "The BPS units with modified firmware can be used as a prescreening device, informing the passengers if they are in the PreCheck lane or standard lane, in addition to other functionalities," the TSA said.
