Vt. wind project gets favorable ruling from state regulators

Vermont regulators have ruled that First Wind's proposed wind farm in Sheffield, Vt., meets the state's acoustical standard. The state Public Service Board conducted the review in response to a complaint from a local resident. "We appreciate the board's careful review of the extensive sound testing data we provided and are pleased the Board recognized that the project is in compliance with the state's sound requirements," said First Wind spokesman John Lamontagne.
