EPA dioxin cleanup of Michigan bay on hold during investigation

Officials with the EPA said they are waiting for results of a fact-finding mission on the cleanup of dioxins in the Saginaw Bay, Mich., watershed before moving ahead with the project. Discussions between the EPA and Dow Chemical were suspended in March, but EPA-supervised work to remove contaminated soil from a Saginaw County, Mich., park is to begin next week.
