Airlines compete to offer new first-class amenities

As airlines around the world search for ways to trim costs by cutting amenities in economy class, first-class passengers are treated to constantly evolving innovations such as a hot shower in-flight from Emirates or a working desk that converts into a dining table for two on Swiss Air. Data from the International Air Transport Association show that a small fraction of upper-class passengers accounts for a third of all airline revenue.
