AAFP joins Prescriptions for a Healthy America coalition

The AAFP joined the Prescriptions for a Healthy America coalition that seeks to implement strategies to improve patient medication adherence and reduce health care costs. Survey results released by the coalition found 64% of Americans who take medications don't always do so as prescribed, and AAFP board member Rebecca Jaffe, M.D., said primary care plays an important role in improving medication and treatment adherence.
