California mulls vending machine restrictions

Lawmakers in California have introduced a bill that would set nutrition standards for food and drinks sold in vending machines on state property. "Everyone remains free to purchase off-site and bring on-site whatever they want to consume, but the state will stop providing profiteers venues to sell unhealthy items to its workforce," said the bill's author, Holly Mitchell (D-Los Angeles).
