FDA seeks input on medical device labeling proposal

The FDA has issued a proposal to give medical device companies the option to label their products using certain standardized standalone symbols recognized by the agency. The proposed rule, intended to bring U.S. labeling standards in line with those in Europe, is up for comment through June 18.
