Foot Locker to buy leading German running shoe retailer

Foot Locker has agreed to acquire German athletic retailer Runners Point Warenhandelsges in a $94 million cash deal, the companies said. In addition to its more than 200 Runners Point and Sidestep stores, the retailer also operates online subsidiary Tredex; the deal is subject to review by Germany's merger control authorities.
