Manufacture of caffeinated gum is stopped by Wrigley

Wrigley has suspended production, sales and marketing of Alert Energy Caffeine Gum, as the FDA looks at the impact of caffeine-added food on children. "The company's action demonstrates real leadership and commitment to the public health," said Michael Taylor, the FDA's deputy commissioner for foods and veterinary medicine.
