Microsoft, Yahoo extend search-revenue deal for 1 year

The revenue-per-search agreement between Microsoft and Yahoo has been extended for another 12 months, through March 31, for searches in the U.S. The deal previously covered searches in Canada and the U.S. But a report that cites anonymous sources says Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer wants to terminate the agreement. A Yahoo spokeswoman said in a statement that "Microsoft is an important partner, and we continue to work together to grow search share and improve monetization."
