Neb. board launches search for new education commissioner

The Nebraska State Board of Education on Tuesday chose the Illinois firm Proact Search to help find a new education commissioner. The company will work to find a successor for Commissioner Roger Breed, who retires June 30. The board will pay the firm less than $50,000 for its services since it did not go through a public bidding process.
