New acrylic roof to reduce ultraviolet rays at N.Y. arts museum

A new acrylic roof will be installed over the Sculpture Court at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute’s Museum of Art in Utica, N.Y. The material will replace the deteriorating transparent roof at the facility and reduce ultraviolet rays by 92%, according to Ron Draper, director of facilities and security for the institute. The roof replacement project costs $150,000, Draper said.
