Officials call for third-party review of bolt repair

Some state and local officials in California are calling for a third-party review of whatever Caltrans decides to do about the faulty bolts on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Caltrans will make public today its plans to fix the broken bolts and announce if the bridge can still open on time. Gov. Jerry Brown said sometimes things happen, adding "There are very professional engineers that are looking at this thing, and when they're ready to give us their report I think the public will be satisfied."
