Omega-3 fatty acids may not help protect hearts of at-risk patients

Individuals at high risk for cardiovascular conditions who took omega-3 supplements daily were no less likely to suffer or die from heart disorders after five years compared with a placebo group, a study found. The findings were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
