The Common Core State Standards have the potential to boost engagement, creativity and bring joy back to teaching, writes Dennis Van Roekel, president of the National Education Association. In this blog post, he writes that his organization has established the Common Core Working Group to develop resources for teachers. "Most of all, we must demand that educators receive the training, support and resources they need to provide every public school student with the high-quality education they deserve," he writes.
