Routine screening may help detect MA in young diabetes patients

Longer diabetes duration, higher A1C rates and increased blood pressure levels were associated with microalbuminuria in pediatric type 1 diabetes patients, according to a study in Diabetes Care. The results highlight the importance of routine screening for early detection and treatment of microalbuminuria in young patients, researchers said.
