SAP takes HANA to the cloud to bolster enterprise storage suite

SAP has launched an expanded enterprise version of its cloud-based in-memory database solution, HANA, which is designed to offer customers the ability to run multi-application workloads -- including enterprise-resource planning, customer-relationship management and data analytics -- more efficiently. SAP says it spent two years building out the infrastructure for the HANA Enterprise Cloud service, which will be hosted by seven data centers around the world.
