Some experts advise hoteliers to modify their lobby design and seating arrangement to promote relaxation and encourage conversations, reflecting a growing trend in which guests use the hotel lobby as a space where they can use their mobile devices while chatting with friends. "The lobby of today is designed to encourage gathering and conversation, giving guests the opportunity to spend more time in a common area before retreating to their rooms," said Sheree Moore, Brigadoon Furniture's strategic account manager.
