Turning to the cloud to make U.S. broadband competitive

The U.S. has some of the largest and most innovative Internet companies in the world but lags behind other developed nations when it comes to networking speeds. Ajit Gupta, CEO of Aryaka Networks, says the problem is less about actual capacity than the complexity of service delivery. Gupta says that by relinquishing things like quality of service, data caching and data synching to the cloud, enterprises can boost WAN speeds, lower costs and "shift their focus away from complicated networking configurations and back to their business goals."
