Whole Foods same-store sales gain 6.9%

Whole Foods Market says same-store sales increased 6.9% in its fiscal second quarter, which ended April 14, compared with the same period a year ago. Total sales increased more than 13%, to $3.03 billion. "The demand for fresh, healthy foods continues to grow," co-founder and co-CEO John Mackey said.
