Wis. district aligns literacy curriculum with the common core

Educators in Elmbrook School District in Wisconsin have been working since August on a new, comprehensive K-5 literacy curriculum aligned with the Common Core State Standards. The curriculum includes strengthened professional development for teachers and reading workshops to allow students more time for active reading.
