The brain gets a boost from bragging, study finds

Our brains are wired to enjoy bragging about ourselves, according to a Harvard University study. Brain scans revealed that subjects who engaged in self-disclosures experienced the same type of pleasure as in receiving money or food. Many subjects even turned down financial rewards in favor of an opportunity to talk about themselves instead.
