CDC: Salmonella outbreak linked to imported cucumbers sickens 81

CDC updated the number of people sickened by an outbreak of Salmonella Saintpaul tied to imported cucumbers, raising it from 78 to 81 in 18 states. CDC said the strain causing the illnesses is associated with cucumbers from Mexico's Miracle Greenhouse and Daniel Cardenas Izabal. An import alert concerning the two companies' produce has been issued by the FDA.
