Congress should support Pentagon's biofuels push

It would be a mistake for Congress to slash funding for the Department of Defense's biofuels program, writes Andrew Holland. The military's dependence on oil is "a strategic vulnerability," Holland notes. "To simply accept that oil is going to remain as the sole source of liquid fuel that the US military relies on ... is to say that we should accept the long-term strategic risks of price volatility and dependence upon uncertain foreign countries," he writes.
