Facebook reportedly is in advanced talks to buy mobile startup Waze for up to $1 billion. A term sheet has been signed and due diligence is underway, the reports say. The acquisition of Waze, which uses satellite signals from smartphones to generate maps and traffic data, could give Facebook a potent tool as it seeks to expand its mobile presence.
