Firms ally to develop drugs for rare genetic disorders

Nimbus Discovery and Shire agreed to collaborate in the discovery and development of small molecule drugs for lysosomal storage disorders using the former's computational chemistry platform. Nimbus will be in charge of discovery, and Shire will handle clinical development and commercialization. The deal entitles Nimbus to undisclosed milestone payments.
