Give your employees more input to boost engagement levels

Research from Gallup shows that employee engagement has risen since 2009, but only by two percentage points, writes Rieva Lesonsky. However, engagement has climbed 10 percentage points among managers and executives, which indicates that people who have more impact on company operations may feel more engaged, she writes. For this reason, it's a good idea to give your employees "more autonomy and ask for their input and opinions -- then, whenever possible, act on them," Lesonsky writes.
