Md. awards tech grant to nursing homes

The Lions Center for Rehabilitation and Extended Care in Cumberland, Md., will partner with Egle Nursing and Rehab Center to boost sharing of EHRs and other patient data between health care providers, nursing home employees and patients through Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients. The facilities will share a $517,000 statewide grant with Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, King Farm Presbyterian Retirement Community and Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center. The grant will allow the nursing homes to purchase, license or implement EHRs or other record-keeping or clinical information systems.
