N.Y. city government to switch to 100% wind power

The Hudson, N.Y., government will switch to 100%, locally generated wind power in June with the help of Viridian Energy's Pure Green program. The transition will make Hudson the state's only municipal government to operate exclusively on wind power, said Mayor William Hallenbeck. The switch is projected to save the city at least $40,000 annually, Hallenbeck said.
