N.Y. health system uses group messaging app

Mount Sinai Medical Center has rolled out a HIPAA-compliant mobile application called Cureatr that was developed by one of its medical residents. The cloud-based tool leverages a secure group text messaging system and is expected to boost care quality and enhance intra- and inter-institutional communication among medical staff who coordinate the care of patients with complex health problems.
