Some customers leave banks after branch closings, survey finds

Thirty percent of consumers surveyed said they had moved their accounts to another financial institution after a branch closing, a Synergistics Research report says. The survey also found that 25% had a negative impression of the institution because of a branch closing, and 25% said it made them worry about the security of their money.
