South Africa plans development of new reactors

South Africa seeks to proceed with the development of new reactors and boost the country's nuclear energy generation to 9.6 gigawatts by 2030, said Malusi Gigaba, the country's public enterprise minister. Such projects would play a key role in South Africa's efforts to achieve its economic and social development goals as well as boost industrialization, Gigaba said.
