Stronger home sales spur hope in home goods retailers

Home sales and consumer confidence are both on the rise, spurring a 2.8% rise in furniture and home furnishing sales in March, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Retailers including Target and J.C. Penney aim to make the most of the recovery, with expanded offerings such as Target's new Threshold home decor line that's on display in a life-size dollhouse the retailer set up at New York City's Grand Central Station.
