Obama nominates 15 to serve on disability advisory committee

President Barack Obama on Tuesday named 15 individuals to serve on the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities. The nominees include Oregon special-education advocate Susana Ramirez and former broadcasting executive Carol Wheeler, who has a child with a genetic disorder. The committee advises the president and the Department of Health and Human Services on topics that affect people with intellectual disabilities.
