Actress Holland Taylor and openly lesbian N.Y. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn sat down with Philip Galanes for his New York Times column "Table for Three," to discuss former Texas Gov. Ann Richards, women in politics and authenticity in public life. "I think we should recognize it and be grateful for it, and dissatisfied with it, and pushing harder, all at the same time," said Quinn, speaking about the success women have had as political leaders. Taylor is currently playing Richards in "Ann," a Broadway play she wrote.
