EBRI: Low rates threaten retiree nest eggs

A forthcoming study from the Employee Benefit Research Institute says retirees will have less income if today's low interest rates persist, although Social Security's safety net will prevent most from running out of money altogether. "This low-interest environment has an extremely large impact on failure rates," said EBRI research director Jack VanDerhei.
