Growth in home construction outpaces number of workers

The rising demand for residential construction is starting to outpace the number of workers available for the job, according to some home builders. The shortage of workers was caused by those who left the industry after the housing downturn. As one worker said, "I love construction, I love building. But I can't have a job that pays me $50,000 one year and zip the next. I need to be more financially secure."
