Home-improvement industry is cautious over extent of recovery

Home-improvement retailers such as Home Depot and Lowe's have seen sales rise alongside a recovery in the U.S. housing market. Earlier this year, Home Depot reported its strongest performance in eight years, with sales reaching $18.25 billion. Retailers and analysts are cautious, however, about the housing market's strength.
