Lenovo boosts smartphone sales plans to stay competitive

Lenovo Group said it wants to sell 60 million smartphones in the fiscal year that began April 1 in an effort to compete with Samsung and Apple. According to IDC, Lenovo shipped 23.5 million smartphones last year, more than quintupling its shipments of the year before. The company also plans to begin marketing smartphones in Nigeria this year, making its African debut with that product.
