Microsoft says Yammer revenue rose 259% in fiscal Q3

Microsoft's ownership of cloud-based enterprise social network Yammer has been good for business, according to a company blog. Revenue increased 259% year-over-year in the fiscal third quarter on sales of standalone Yammer licenses to 312 new clients, the blog post says. "When we did the acquisition, we talked a lot about how it would accelerate Yammer's momentum. So this is a great data point to demonstrate how well things are going in general," said Jared Spataro, senior director of the Microsoft Office Division.
