Social media has changed the world of baseball for fans and players, Zachary Rymer writes. Twitter and Facebook created and fueled a vast rumor mill, but also helped humanize players and fostered fan-player interactions, Rymer writes. "Social media hasn't yet developed the power to turn a fly ball into a groundball. ... No, what social media has done is add a whole new layer to the game," he writes.
