New SEC money-fund draft proposal targets prime funds

A proposal from the Securities and Exchange Commission would require only prime institutional funds to use a floating share price, while allowing government funds to continue with a stable share price. The proposal could be issued as soon as next month, according to SEC member Luis Aguilar, who says he is likely to support it.
