Opinion: RFS should be repealed until ethanol is more efficient

Ethanol takes more energy to produce than it gives back, so the Renewable Fuel Standard should be repealed, writes Robert Rozansky, a physics major at Brown University. "Today, Congress should abandon the Renewable Fuel Standard until biofuel technology has caught up with our own aspirations. Biofuels may hold a rightful place in the future of American energy, but before promoting them with legislation, we need to get the science right," he writes.
