Revenue-recognition standard could be costly to implement

A converged standard on revenue recognition is expected this summer, with a planned effective date of Dec. 15, 2016. Expected advantages of the converged standard include fewer restatements. However, Financial Accounting Standards Board Chairwoman Leslie Seidman acknowledges that corporate efforts to adapt to the requirement might be costly in some industries.
