Column: Small businesses need tax breaks, access to credit

Small businesses across the U.S. are struggling to stay afloat amid the economic recession, writes Georgette Mosbacher. She notes that access to credit is the biggest need for small businesses. An initiative proposed by the Obama administration would buy back small-business loans from community banks, but Mosbacher notes that it is too focused on the Small Business Administration. A better plan, she writes, is to extend tax breaks for small businesses.
